Planet Voltage
“Planet Voltage” is an educational game/interactive installation created by Team FuseBox for Museu Casa da Luz, a science museum in Funchal, as a semester project in my Masters of Entertainment Technology. The team was composed by Dome Pongmongkol, Luís Ferreira, Paulo Bala and I.
Given the goal to motivate changes in energy consumption habits in children, we created an interactive story-based game. The game focuses on the museum’s mascot, Max, who is faced with a blackout in the island of Madeira. He is then urged to find alternative energy sources, in order to light up the island again. This experience promotes good energy consumption habits through three mini-games and a comicbook, which the user can take home.
