The Price of Freedom is a VR experience developed for the HTC Vive headset, and the first game in an episodic series. It includes a thought provoking story, set in a fully immersive environment. This game is developed by Construct Studio, a production house dedicated to interactive storytelling in Virtual Reality, bridging the gap between films and games. I came on-board this project as a Freelance artist, and my roles included the cleanup of two 3D characters plus a set of 3D arms, and full Rigging of each of these models. Several rigging techniques were implemented, such as:
- IKs for the legs and arms;
- Reverse Foot rigs;
- Twist systems for the forearms, legs and spine;
- Volume preservation in the knees, buttocks and elbows;
- Basic facial rigging.
